Use of Generative AI
You may use generative AI in manuscript writing only to improve the language and readability of your own text, and you must disclose that use. You remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality and references in your submission.
- What to disclose: the tool or service, what it was used for, and confirmation that the authors checked the output.
- No disclosure needed: basic spelling, grammar, punctuation and reference-formatting checks.
- Abstract-only submission: use the separate AI-use declaration in the submission form. It is not part of your abstract or its word count.
- Full paper: complete the form declaration and add the same statement to your paper immediately before References.
- AI as a research method: describe it in your methodology. For an abstract-only submission, describe it in the methods wording of your abstract. You do not need a full paper for this.
- Revised material: revised abstracts and papers follow the same policy. Use the update instructions in your email.
AI is also welcome as a research topic. This policy concerns how manuscripts are written, not what you study.
